Bundesverband IT-Mittelstand e.V. (BITMI)

The Federal Association for IT in the Mittelstand (BITMi) is the only digital association that exclusively represents the interests of SMEs. The association brings together established IT companies, start-ups, regional and specialist associations to form a strong network. This makes BITMi the voice of over 2,500 IT companies across Germany. It advocates for the strengthening of the SME digital economy and the utilization of the potential of innovative German tech SMEs for our digital sovereignty. In its specialist groups and funding projects, it pools expertise on future-oriented digital topics such as IT security, AI, administrative digitalization, skilled labor shortages, sustainability, and equal opportunities. With its quality seals “Software made in Germany” and “Software hosted in Germany,” it enhances the visibility of the quality and values of the German digital location.
