Our vision: "A trust-promoting living and working environment where mental well-being is met with mindfulness." Deutsche DepressionsLiga e.V. is a nationwide patient advocacy organization for people suffering from depression. It is a purely affected organization whose members are either themselves affected by the illness of depression or whose relatives are affected. Those who do not belong to this group of people have the option of becoming a supporting member.

The board and members work on a voluntary basis towards their goals of raising awareness and combating stigma, providing assistance and self-help offers for those affected, and representing the interests of these people vis-à-vis politics, the healthcare system, and the public. We place great importance on independence from the pharmaceutical industry or other interest groups and have enshrined this in our articles of association.
