On January 31, the much-anticipated, sold-out launch event of the newly founded Europe-wide IT cluster took place in Darmstadt, clearly demonstrating that the start of Silicon Valley Europe (SVE) generated great interest.

SVE initiator and CEO Michael Mattis guided the audience through an entertaining journey filled with amusing anecdotes, highlighting his entrepreneurial development—from leading an advertising agency to organizing major real, hybrid, or virtual congress trade fairs for digitalization in SMEs and public administration, up to the current launch of the international enterprise community platform Silicon Valley Europe.

The atmosphere in the Calla restaurant of the Darmstadtium Science and Congress Centre was marked by the enthusiasm and pioneering spirit of the approximately 85 guests. The official part of the evening also included an outlook on the next steps for members and interested parties of the IT cluster. Its planned activities and events promise not only intensive knowledge exchange, knowledge transfer, or collaboration potential, but also a deepening of networks between all involved partners, companies, technology providers, and users.

With a glass of sparkling wine, delicious snacks, and pleasant conversations, all attendees took the opportunity to make or strengthen contacts, present their business, and discuss potential collaborations.

With over 50 active members, the cluster promises not only business diversity but also expertise, synergy opportunities, and innovative strength.

The celebration clearly showed that Silicon Valley Europe is not just a geographical term, but an idea designed to help Europe become a major player in the global IT scene.
