IT companies are desperately looking for new skilled workers. Often, it is not considered that many employees leave the company because they are dissatisfied with their pay or even their employment situation. This could, for example, be the workplace itself or the obligation to regularly work in the office, even though, in principle, they could perform just as well—or even better—from home. A QM software serves as the basis for intelligent and sustainable transformation of all operational workflows and is used by users in over 80 countries.

IT companies are desperately looking for new skilled workers. Often, it is not considered that many employees leave the company because they are dissatisfied with the pay or even with the employment situation itself. This can be, for example, the workplace or the obligation to regularly come into the office, where, in principle, they could just as well—and perhaps even better—work from home. Neumann & Neumann Software und Beratungs GmbH is taking a completely new approach here. Founded in 1992, the company has made it its mission, as a family-run, family-friendly medium-sized enterprise, to put its own staff and customers at the center. This is how the idea—and ultimately the implementation—of an innovation center in Alpine style came about. Not that N&N is somehow old-fashioned. On the contrary: N&N is a renowned innovation and competence partner for the digitalization of quality processes. The focus is on personal consulting for holistic quality concepts and processes, internal and external quality audits, and consulting for tenders in building cleaning. The e-QSS software is one of the core elements of the technology provider, developed from practice for practice. The QM software serves as the basis for the intelligent and sustainable transformation of all operational workflows and is used by users in over 80 countries. This is complemented by international top references.

Good enough reason for DIGITAL FUTUREmag to take a closer look at current topics such as the end of the home office obligation, the experience of on-site presence, the importance of collaboration and social contacts, but also the underlying work concepts in conversation with the HR solution specialist.

DIGITAL FUTUREmag: Ms. Neumann, to what extent do employers actually insist that employees come back to the office more often?

Eva Neumann: Of course, this is an individual decision and must fit the company and its management concept. We have already eliminated the separation between home office and office. Our employees can decide for themselves when and where they want to work: at home, in the office, or in our recently established innovation center. The only rule is: agreed appointments must be kept.

DIGITAL FUTUREmag: How does your staff feel about the end of the home office obligation?

Eva Neumann: Positively. Personal exchange becomes possible again. In meetings, you sit across from each other and are not just connected online.

DIGITAL FUTUREmag: How can the return to the company or the office experience be made more appealing or redesigned for colleagues in the future?
