Exclusive interview with Holger Krumme, CEO of HTV ALTER TECHNOLOGY GmbH (ALTER | HTV)

For more than two decades, Holger Krumme has been a key figure at ALTER | HTV. As Managing Director – Technical Operations and Prokurist, he has been steering the company’s technical development since 2001 and has also been responsible for overall management since February 2023. His passion for innovation is matched by a clear goal: making electronics more durable, safer and more sustainable while simultaneously enhancing quality.

Today, ALTER | HTV is one of Europe’s leading service providers for electronic components. Its core services include electrical testing, programming or flashing of memories (from semiconductor wafers to complete electronic assemblies), long-term preservation using the unique TAB® process, which reliably preserves components for up to 50 years, and material and failure analysis of electronic components and assemblies at the company’s own accredited Institute for Material Analysis.

With around 150 employees, state-of-the-art infrastructure and a unique combination of development departments, testing technology, analytics, long-term storage and logistics, the company has been shaping the electronics market for almost 40 years.

Since 2023, ALTER | HTV has been part of the TÜV NORD Group (TNG) and ALTER TECHNOLOGY, underscoring the company’s quality standards and international reach. Within the TNG, HTV, together with ALTER TECHNOLOGY (headquarters Spain) and TÜV Informationstechnik GmbH, forms the Business Unit “Semiconductor & Digital”.

Together, the three companies cover the extensive fields of semiconductor services, certification and testing of components as well as systems with regard to IT and cybersecurity, the robustness of AI applications and post-quantum applications, and the development of customised software solutions for digitalising any business processes of a company.
